    The Gastrointestinal Surgery Department is in charge of surgical resections of benign and malignant tumors occurring in gastrointestinal regions and surgeries for gastrointestinal-related functional diseases, surgical emergency diseases, hernia, etc.

The Gastrointestinal Surgery Department performs ▲resection surgery of various tumors in the gastrointestinal tract including gastric cancer and post-operative management ▲surgery for gastroduodenal ulcer accompanied by complications ▲surgery for gastroesophageal reflux disease, severe obesity, and metabolic diseases requiring surgery ▲various hernia surgeries in the inguinal region and abdominal wall. Minimally invasive surgeries such as laparoscopic and robotic surgeries are applied to all types of surgeries depending on the characteristics of the patient, and efforts are made for recovery after operation and quicker return to everyday life. In addition to extensive clinical experiences, basic research studies related to gastrointestinal diseases are conducted to contribute to the successful treatment of patients.
