The Otolaryngology Department treats ear, nose, and throat diseases, and it is classified into three fields for professional treatments.

The Otolaryngology Department is presenting many research results domestically and internationally in the otitis cholesteatitis, infant·children's deafness disease, acoustic nerve tumor, chronic sinusitis, and head and neck tumor fields, boasting of the highest level of patient treatment in Korea.

The Ajou Hearing Center, which specializes in the hearing loss field, is operated to provide systematic and professional hearing loss treatments including hearing loss tests, otitis media surgeries, cochlear implant surgeries, hearing aid treatments, and hearing rehabilitation programs. Hearing tests are performed on all newborns at Ajou University Hospital, and patient satisfaction has greatly increased as hearing loss could be quickly detected and early treatment is enabled.

Regarding sleep disorders, several treatments are suggested for various sleep-related disorders through diverse treatments such as polysomnography and endoscopy, and various treatments are provided for functional surgery of the nose and olfactory sense.

The Otolaryngology Department boasts of high survival rate from early cancer of head and neck areas to intractable and severe cancers with high-level multidisciplinary treatment and outstanding know-how of highly difficult surgeries. Robotic surgeries and reconstructive surgeries are performed to provide patient-centered treatments considering the quality of life after treatments. In addition, customized treatments are performed for voice diseases by laryngeal specialists through the voice and language therapy clinic.
