The Occupational and Environmental Medicine Department possesses high-level knowledge and technology in all fields of occupation-related diseases and environment-related diseases to train professional personnel and conduct preventive activities, treatments, and research on workers due to various harmful factors and health issues of local citizens.
The Occupational and Environmental Medicine Department is specifically in charge of medical checkups for workers and safety assessment for workplaces exposed to harmful environments such as noise, dust, heavy metals, and organic solvents, including outpatient services for occupation and environment-related diseases.
The Occupational and Environmental Medicine Department has greatly contributed to preventing occupational diseases and controlling workplace environments through treatments and tests using the best medical equipment and facilities in Korea, and it is currently making all-out efforts for the diagnosis and prevention of occupational musculoskeletal disorders and diseases due to occupational stress.
