1. 연구 활동
의료진은 루푸스 병인기전을 밝히는데 주력하고 있으며, 루푸스 환자의 유전체 연구, 루푸스 질병 활성화 바이오마커, 루푸스 환자의 감염 바이오마커, 단백질체, B 세포 등에 관심을 가지고 연구를 진행합니다. 또한 다기관 루푸스 유전체 연구에도 참여하여 한국 루푸스 환자 유전자 연구에 기여하고 있습니다. 이러한 연구의 결과로 국내외 학회에서 구연 및 포스터 발표와 함께 다수의 우수한 국제논문(SCI)을 발표했습니다.

2. 임상연구 및 환자 교육 활동
루푸스클리닉은 전신홍반루푸스 환자를 대상으로 하는 신약 2상, 3상, 4상 글로벌 다기간 임상연구를 진행하며 많은 환자가 임상시험에 참여하고 있습니다. 이러한 경험을 바탕으로 루푸스 환자 치료에서 국내에서 선도적인 역할을 하고 있습니다.
환자의 교육 측면에서는 루푸스 만화를 직접 제작하여 외래에 비치하고 질병에 대해 홍보합니다. 2008년부터는 매년 루푸스 환자를 대상으로 루푸스 모임을 진행해 보다 유익한 질병 및 치료 정보를 제공하고 있습니다.
