의료진 소개 내용
홍창형 교수는 연세대 의과대학을 졸업하고, 연세대 노화과학연구소, 광주시 정신보건센터, 세브란스병원을 거쳐 현재 아주대 의과대학 정신건강의학과 교수로 재직하고 있으며, 아주대의료원 첨단의학연구원부원장을 맡고 있다. 전문진료분야는 치매, 경도인지장애, 노인성우울증이며, 지역사회 치매통합관리시스템 개발과 뇌노화방지에 대해 연구해왔다. 2006년에는 PRCP (Pacific Rim College of Psychiatry) 치매분야에서 Research Award를 수상하였고, 2011년 고려미래의학자상을 수상한 바 있다.
대외적으로는 중앙자살예방센터장(2016~2017), 수원시노인정신건강센터장(2008~2014)을 맡아 자살과 정신질환의 문제를 통합적이고 다각적인 접근으로 해결하는 등 다양한 자살예방사업과 정신건강증진사업에 기여해 왔으며, 현재는 수원시 행복정신건강센터장, 경기도 정신보건사업지원단 자문위원, 광주시 정신보건센터 자문위원, 대한정신과학회 정회원, 대한노인정신의학회 교육이사로 활동 중이다.
EBS <명의>에 치매 분야의 명의로 선정되어 2021년 '가짜 치매를 아시나요?' 편, 2022년 '명의 15주년 특집-치매 치료의 패러다임이 바뀐다' 편에 두 차례 출연한 바 있다. EBS <명의>는 현직 의사를 대상으로 한 설문조사를 통해 질환별 명의를 추천받아 의술을 검증하고, 인간적인 면모와 특이사항까지 검토하여 명의를 선정하는 만큼 국내 의학계에서 신뢰도가 높다.
